Kates Two month appointment!

Kate had her 2 month appointment today. She got her shots and did so well. She stopped crying before the nurse had left the room and then fell asleep. She smiles a lot more now and is in such a great mood in the mornings. She is sleeping so well at night and only wakes up once between 3am-4am to eat and then sleeps until I get up.

Kate is:
25 cm in length (95%)
12.9 lbs in weight (95%)
15 3/4 head circumference (75%)
She is a healthy and beautiful baby and we are so blessed.

Kate is growing up

I am trying to do a better job updating my blog more frequently.
We got Kates first Christmas tree this week. So fun. I also made a stocking for Kate and I to match the one Eric already has from when he was younger. Kate is so much more alert now. She loves the light and loves to play under her activity gym. K.C. Carrie and Holden are staying with us this weekend and get to meet Kate. We are so excited!

We are so blessed to have a beautiful daughter. She is a great eater and still loves to sleep but when she is awake she is so curious and is constantly looking around. She loves noise and we play music for her or sing to her a lot. Eric read Kate and I the Golly sisters last night and we all enjoyed it. We are excited to go to Houston for Thanksgiving and show her off to the family.

Mommy and Kate went on a walk today and went to the bank to deposit some checks. Kate did so well and now is taking her afternoon nap.

Kate Rylie DeShan was born October 17th at 2:59am. She was 8 lbs 5 oz and 21 in. Labor started for me around 8 in the evening on Saturday the 16th. I started having consistent contractions and monitored them until we decided to leave for the hospital at midnight. We checked in by 12:30am and labored until Kate arrived at 2:59am. It was a short but very intense labor. We are loving our precious daughter and so thankful to the Lord for her. Here are a few pictures of Kate.

A little smile while sleeping!

Still no baby yet but we are getting closer and closer to her due date. Only 10 more days. My appointment last friday went well. I am still 3 cm dilated and 80% effaced. We are thinking little miss Kate might decide to come sometime this week but nothing so far. I am trying to be patient and enjoy these last few days that Eric and I have all to ourselves. We are both so excited for Kate to arrive though. I know that Gods timing is perfect. Anxious to see what our little lady looks like and to get to hold her and take care of her. I did a lot of cleaning today around the house...want everything to be ready for when company comes for Kates birth. Eric has a basketball game tonight but that is really our only planned event this week other then bible study Thursday night if Kate has not come yet.

37 weeks! Wow, I am so ready for Kate to get here. I have a doctors appointment in the morning...we will see if I am progressed since last week.
